The weekend is here! :)

It's finally Friday and that means I can now update you all on my latest shopping haul! As I stated in my last post, I was pretty excited to get to the mall so I could pick up my first Halloween goodies, and a bunch of other non-essential fun stuff. :)

As much as I had been looking forward to breaking the bank, I actually found some pretty good deals and ended up getting a good amount of stuff all for only $113.89!

What I had been most looking forward to was going to Bath & Body Works to check out their new line of Halloween hand sanitizers (exciting, I know!). They were $1.50 each, or 5 for $5 ($5.46 with tax), so of course I gad to get the whole set of five!

Zombie Squad (Marshmallow)
Vampire Blood (Plum)
Spider's Web (Black Licorice)

Bat Bite (Apple)

Candy Corn (Caramel)

^.^ OBSESSION OF THE WEEK!! ^.^

I have since been to the B&BW website, and unfortunately they are now completely sold out of Spider's Web and Zombie Squad, but I'm sure they still have some in stores! :-/

They are all absolutely adorable, smell great, (with the exception of Spider's Web black licorice which I gladly gave to my mother) and are supposedly even glow-in-the-dark! I love carrying around these festive little germ stompers with me, and I can't wait until the Christmas line comes out!

Next I made a stop at American Eagle because they were having a sale on jeans! I love jeans and it's finally starting to get cold enough to wear them, so I thought eh, why the heck not? I got these Slim Boot Jeans in deep indigo for only $29.95, originally $39.95! American Eagle jeans are my favorite. They have "long" which is good for girls on a little bit of the taller side like me (I'm 5'7''), and I SWEAR they mark the sizes smaller than they really are, because my not-that-small booty can fit into a size 0 in some of these pants, when I'm really a 2 or 4 in every other brand! Although my ego wanted me to go with the 0, I decided to be smarter than that. Everyone knows you're gonna gain weight during the holidays from all the goodies lying around everywhere, so I decided to go with the 2, to give me some room for some happy weight around the middle. :)

After jean shopping, I thought it would be nice to see if I could find any cute sweaters or accessories at good ol' Forever 21. I ended up with my first pair of jeggings, (which fit like a glove and make my legs look FABULOUS!) a nice stretchy plain black sweater, a basic short sleeved v-neck in charcoal, and some brown yoga pants. Then I walked over to For Love 21, the accessory store, and picked up a few things I've had my eye on. For a while now I've needed some way to organize my makeup better, so I got the complete office set they sell to use for cosmetics instead! It gave my desk some color and it really has been a blessing to be able to find things for once! I also picked up a five pack of multi-colored ankle socks, and a basic pink and black hairbrush. One of the main reasons I love Forever 21 so much is because of the affordability of it all! I got all the stuff I just mentioned for only $75.71 with tax included! Forever 21 will probably be one of my most favorite stores for a very long time to come.

I ended my two hour shopping adventure with one of the top things I'd been looking forward to on my Halloween time to-do list: Starbucks. :) I got a Tall Iced Pumpkin Spice Americano, and topped it off with just a touch of non-fat milk. Of course with the lack of calories in the drink department, I had to make up for it in the treat! The Pumpkin scone from Starbucks is among the greatest. I have tried quite a few different brands, but nothing compares to this guy. The softness, the delicate spice, the sweet melt-in-your-mouth icing...MmMmMm! It was just what I needed to get me home with the energy I needed to clean my always messy room and make space for all the new stuff! :)

Well my fellow shopaholics, I hope you enjoyed this week's haul. I'll be back next friday with new goodies and my Obsession of the Week. Take care, and happy shopping!!

It's October!!

Baby Me! Halloween 1990 :)
Yaaaayyyyyyy!! October 1st has FINALLY arrived! In my opinion, the holidays start today. Once Halloween comes, next thing you know it's Thanksgiving, then like a minute later it's Christmas. I absolutely adore Halloween time. The leaves are starting to turn, the cute jeans can finally come out, and I can at last enjoy the warm delight of a Pumpkin Spice Latte. Of course those things all seem a little...insignificant. Everyone knows that what Halloween is really about is doing things you could only get away with during the month of October! Think about it, when else is it socially acceptable to:

  • Eat 34 FunSize candy bars in one sitting and not feel the least bit guilty?
  • Scare sweet, innocent little children and make them cry?
  • Wear 10 pounds of bronzer and pretend to be your favorite Guidette?
  • Throw pumpkin guts at the front door of your overly obnoxious neighbor's house? Oh..I mean...what? :)

See guys, October really is one of the best months of the year, if not the most fun. Tomorrow is Saturday the 2nd, and I'll be making my way over to the mall to pick up a ton of stuff I've had on my wishlist for a while, but wanted to wait until it was "officially" Halloween time to pick up.

I hope you will enjoy coming along with me on all my Holiday adventures in the upcoming months. It's shopping season baby! And I must confess, I'm VERY ready to celebrate. :)

Happy Haunting All!
